Drake Water Technologies, Inc.(DWT) is pleased to announce publication of its latest novel technology offering, FlashFlo in Chemical Engineering. Ron Drake (CEO, P.E.), and the DWT team have developed a unique process to treat oilfield emulsions in a single-load, high-throughput system, and published this development in the September 2016 issue of Chemical Engineering. The FlashFlo process uses a high efficiency system to vaporize aqueous and organic fractions from spent oilfield emulsions, rag layers, slop oils and tank bottoms, fueling the process from organic waste streams. Pilot testing has already commenced, and preliminary results are promising, suggesting 70% recovery of organic hydrocarbons as merchantable product.
